• The IRIS LITERACY PROJECT

Incorporated in January 2024 and granted 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, the IRIS Literacy Project partners with non-profit organizations that serve children and families. We offer our services completely free of charge.

  • The IRIS Literacy Project partners with organizations that serve at-risk, disadvantaged, and/or marginalized populations. We work alongside our partners to ensure that books, materials, and videos reach children who need them.

  • The IRIS Literacy Project (ILP) wants to start children on the road to success by bringing the fun of reading into their lives. We help our partner organizations establish a library of children’s books, but that is not enough.

  • Children need to hear books read aloud. This concept is so important that we carry it in our name:  Interactive Reading Impacts Success.

IRIS books have a video accessible by a QR code.  When clicked, the video opens, and the child can hear and see someone reading the book.

  • ILP also wants to create a calm and relaxing setting for children to enjoy their IRIS books. We work with our partners to establish such an environment by helping them create reading nooks.
